Obituary
Betty Jane Pettit, age 81, was one of those rare people who truly loved everyone. She had a heart big enough to hold countless memories, stories, and people, and she never forgot a moment that mattered. Betty Jane found joy in the simple and beautiful things in life, especially dancing, golfing, sewing, and being surrounded by those she loved.
While living in The Villages, Florida, Betty Jane embraced life fully. She was a past member of the Twirling Club, where her love of movement, laughter, and friendship shined. Whether she was on the dance floor, out on the golf course, or at her sewing table, she brought warmth, energy, and happiness wherever she went.
Betty shared her life with her loving partner, Alan Linden, and together they built a life filled with traveling and love. She was a devoted mother to Debbie Cornwell and her husband Geoff of Fairfield, Connecticut, Cindy Pettit of Williamsburg, Virginia, and Brandon Pettit of Cumming, Georgia. Nothing brought her more pride than her grandchildren: Geoffrey and his wife Jane, Jennifer and her husband Jonathan, Kaelin, and Abbey. Her joy grew even greater as a great-grandmother to Emerson and Rylee, and she eagerly awaited the arrival of her great-grandson.
Above all else, Betty will be remembered for her kindness, her joyful spirit, and the way she made everyone feel seen and loved. The memories she held so close—and the love she gave so freely—will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.
Service will be privately held for family. Arrangements entrusted with BALDWIN BROTHERS Funeral & Cremation Society-Spanish Springs, 352-430-1449. Sentiments are encouraged at www.baldwincremation.com.

Our hearts go out to all of Bj's family and friends.
To Alan we share your loss. Keep strong.
One story that always makes me smile is her story of the experience of being a twirler in the parade at Disney World. That moment made her so happy.
I loved hearing about her travels with Alan. I'm so happy my uncle had someone like her to love him. She will be missed - but remembered with love.
Rest eternal grant to her, O Lord;
And let light perpetual shine upon her.
May her soul, and the souls of all the departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
