Obituary
Brett Eugene Anderson (58) of Edgewater, Florida, passed away on August 22, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family. Born on October 17,1966 in Hialeah, Florida to Gary E Anderson and Phyllis A Adams, Brett graduated from Hialeah High School and joined the United States Navy shortly after. Upon completing his military service, he settled down in Central Florida, joined the union IATSE, and traveled the country doing what he loved.
Brett is survived by his father, Gary E. Anderson, his wife, Carrie A. Anderson, daughter Shelly M. Wharton and spouse Bradley M. Wharton, son, Cheyne M. Anderson and spouse Delaney Anderson, daughter McKenzie T. James and spouse Tyler James.
Brett will be lovingly remembered by his six grandchildren, Brayden R. Wharton, Camden M. Wharton, Harper L. Wharton, Myles J. Anderson, Reece W. Ritton and Liana G. Anderson, and his aunt and uncle, Martha and Joe Allen, as well as many cousins, friends, and coworkers.
Brett is predeceased by his mother, Phyllis A. Adams, and grandparents, Charles and Alvena Anderson.
Brett and Carrie married August 11,1990 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and remarried on August 11, 2024 in New Smyrna Beach, Florida surrounded by their children and grandchildren.
He loved his family with his whole heart, including his dog, Jett. He enjoyed surfing, fishing, boating, listening to music, and watching football and hockey. He was also a very skilled cabinet maker and carpenter. All of his family and friends will remember him as a very loud but passionate person with a larger-than-life sense of humor.

Brett was the best father in law I could ever have. He loved my son like his own grandchild. Such a big heart and so much love for his grandkids. He will so be deeply missed.
