Upon his graduation in 1956 from Port Huron High School, he began working for General Motors in Flint, MI where he also studied and completed his apprenticeship program with an Associate’s Degree at General Motors Institute, (now Kettering University) to become a Tool and Die Maker, Upon the completion of 40 years of service there, he retired in 1996.  In 1960, Carl was drafted into the US Army and proudly served his country as a medic until it became necessary for him to be given an honorable medical discharge.

Carl was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church of Davison, Michigan as well as a deacon and Commander of the Awana Clubs.  On November 29, 1986, he married Janet Tucker and they continued to serve the Lord together at Faith and then Westside Bible Baptist Church in Flint, Michigan.

Another move, took them to Savannah Lakes Village in McCormick, SC for 18 years and again he served in children’s programs at Calvary Baptist Church in Greenwood, SC.

Carl also served in the US Power Squadron, not only as a member but instructing others in boating safety. Over the years, he enjoyed boating, deer hunting, golf, running, hiking, and raising his two children, Jeffrey T. Frank and Valerie J. Frank. A true American and great friend. After a round of golf and discussing politics, I realized that at times we did not agree. However, that didn't affect our relationship at all. Sure am missing the talks.
