Obituary for Charles Wayne Seaward

Charles Wayne Seaward, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, at the age of 75. He was born on August 17, 1950, in Ocala, Florida. Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Charles Otto Seaward; his mother, Betty Brown Seaward; and his brother, Michael L. Seaward. He graduated from A.C. Flora High School in Columbia, South Carolina, with the Class of 1969 and continued to cherish friendships with his classmates for more than 50 years.

Wayne attended the University of South Carolina and dedicated 33 years of his life to Delta Air Lines as a customer service agent. He was known for his warm smile, calm presence, and unwavering commitment to helping others. His kindness and reliability left a lasting impression on colleagues and travelers alike.

An animal lover at heart, Wayne was affectionately known in his neighborhood for feeding and caring for local dogs, earning him a soft spot in the hearts of both people and pets. His gentle nature, quiet humor, and generous spirit touched all who knew him.

Wayne is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Yvonne Seaward; his son, Justin Seaward, and daughter-in-law, Jodi; his daughter, Kimberly Whited, and son-in-law, Mark; and his cherished granddaughter, Emily Whited—the apple of his eye. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his love of family, appreciation for life’s simple joys, and the quiet ways he made the world a kinder place.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Lakewood Ranch Humane Society in his memory.

Mr. Wayne you are the kindest of souls. It was a pleasure getting to know you and your wife. It was a pleasure over seeing your private care duty. I will always remember with kind memories of you saying, "My Casa your Casa". While you had so much health issues going on in your life you were always the first to ask how I was doing and if I wanted something to drink or eat. It was so sweet and truly kind. You always put a smile on my face. Both you and your wife are a living testament to what good people and kindness is. This world sadly needs more people like you. Thank you for being you. God speed and you will be sadly missed.
