Obituary
Daniel Joseph Conti, 50, of Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2019. Dan is survived by his parents, William Conti, Sr. (Theresa) of Orlando, FL, and June Campbell (Glenn) of Delmar, NY. Dan is lovingly remembered by his brother, William Conti, Jr., of Sherills Ford, NC, and his sister Amber Conti (Jason) of Orlando, FL. Dan leaves behind five nephews and many cousins and close friends. Dan was born in Albany, NY on June 28, 1968. He attended Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School. After moving to Orlando, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he completed his education and served his country for eight years, raising through the ranks to Sergeant. Later he enlisted in the Florida and Alabama National Guard units for an additional 10 years. Dan was a five-year cancer survivor. Dan loved animals, friends, and football. He often enjoyed listening to 80’s Rock Music and shared the love of bagpipes with his mother. Dan was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Post 19 of Orlando, FL, and served on the Executive Board as Sergeant of Arms for two terms. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 15, 2019, at 12:30 p.m. at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL, with full military honors. Motorcade escort will meet at the American Legion Post 19 at 9:00 a.m., promptly leaving a 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Dan’s name to Cornerstone Hospice or UF Health Cancer Center, both of Orlando, FL.

Sending all of you our thoughts and prayers in the loss of your son, brother, uncle and friend. I've known Dan since he was a teenager, and I remember how nice he was to our mom, Helen. The Conti family has kind hearts and we will remember Dan with a smile always.
