Daniel was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was known for his unwavering kindness, great sense of humor, and positive attitude. A Vietnam War Army veteran, he proudly served his country. He was happily married to his wife, Linda W Palmer, for 53 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda W Palmer; his daughter, Tracy Palmer Seifert; his son-in-law, Brian Seifert; and his cherished grandchildren: A.J. Seifert, Nathaniel Seifert, Julian Seifert, Brianna Talbert, Danielle Palmer, and Emily Palmer. Daniel was also blessed with three great-grandchildren: Marley Bean, Josiah Alvarez, and Jace Alvarez. He is also survived by his sister, Cynthia Palmer Mason, and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Daniel was preceded in death by his son, Danny Palmer, who passed away at the young age of 24; his brother, James Palmer; his mother, Regina Palmer; and his father, Rexford Palmer.

Dan was known for being a great chef, and his main request for his Celebration of Life was to feed his friends and family.

Dan was an incredibly kind and supportive friend to my Dad Kip and such a bright light during every interaction my family ever had with him. Always positive, generous, and smiling! It was only a year ago he dedicated his time to being at my Dad's celebration of life. I remember how many wonderful stories he shared, how much he enjoyed the food, and how he made sure to bring home a piece of cake for his beloved wife Linda. It is heartbreaking that another bright light has left this realm but may all of the love and joy he poured onto those he loved continue to light the way. I hope Dan and my Dad are having a laugh together again. Sending love and comfort to Linda, his children, family, and friends as you navigate this difficult time. - Nikki, Khiana, and Angela Watson

Our hearts break for you, Linda, Tracy, and the entire Palmer family. Dan will be forever remembered as the brightest of personalities, kind, hard working, generous, & a great cook. I can see him standing with a bowl of food at my front door when I had Covid! And I see dinner together at Christmas in a Tennessee cabin, & being honored at Creek with Wreaths Across America, and getting a veterans’ medal at the VFW! Sending love at this time of sorrow

Linda and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Dan was a wonderful friend and a joy to be around. When I first saw the post, I thought, Dan and Mike are grilling hot dogs and having a good old time together as the newest entrants to the pearly gates! Much love to you all.

Sending our sympathies upon learning of Dan's passing. What a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and proud American Veteran he was. Heaven gained an angel ! Dan left us with many wonderful memories of conversations at Ocean Walk and even in the past year as he battled so bravely. So happy he was able to make the DC trip in the past few months, he was a very proud American! Sympathies to Linda and Tracey as they now navigate the world he left.
