DEBORAH LUCILLE THATCHER
(November 9, 1950-December 29,2023)
Deborah Lucille Thatcher, also known as “Debbie”, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023. She was born on November 09, 1950, to Donald Mackie and Audrey Austin in Broward General Hospital, Fort Lauderdale the city that she was born and raised in. This would be the place she met her husband, Winfield Stephen Thatcher, as teenagers they soon came to realize that they were both born at Broward General Hospital in 1950 only one day apart. They were soul mates destined to be and they married and lived happily for 57 years until Jesus called her home this day. Deborah was preceded in death by her mother, Audrey Austin and father, Rev. Don Mackie Sr., and her brother Chris Clanton.
Deborah is also survived by her beloved husband Winfield Stephen Thatcher, now of North Port, Florida, survived by her sister Donna Clark and brother- in- law, Bill Clark, her brother Don Mackie Jr. and wife, Faye Mackie (Kentucky) her brother Robbie Mackie and wife Tammy Mackie (Kentucky), Jamin Mackie (Kentucky) and Deborahs younger sister Regina Parrish and husband Matt Parrish (Kentucky) and her lifelong forever and a day BEST FRIEND Fran Reiche.
Deborah is also survived by her two daughters, Heidi Lynn Thatcher, Heather Leigh Freda and son in law, James P Freda. She is further survived by four grandchildren, Jesse Stephen Thatcher, Jasmine Deborah Thatcher, Stephen Matthew Huntsman, and Jacob Stephen Kyle Newsom. In addition to her grandchildren, she is also survived by eight great grandchildren, Jonah Holley, Jayleanna Holley, Jagger Porche and Josiah Greene. Debbie was always about family which included her husband’s family, Deborah was always the giver, her joy came from giving. Her sense of humor and laughter were simply the best. She will be forever in our hearts and minds. The family will forever cherish the memories of her love and light. She was the place that always felt like home.
