Obituary
Donald Glen McKenzie, 92, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025.
Don was born on January 27, 1932, in Flint, Michigan. He was the beloved husband of Geri McKenzie, a devoted father to Marcia McClain and Robert McKenzie, a proud grandfather to Shanna McClain and Angel Martin, and a cherished great-grandfather to Dylon Martin.
Don was a great man, known for his warmth, kindness, and a sense of humor that could light up any room. He had the rare ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued in his presence. His laughter and smile will remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He served our country proudly as an Army Staff Seargent in the Korean war and had a career in sales with Scott Paper Co. these were just one of many chapters in Don’s rich and fulfilling life. Outside of his professional accomplishments, Don was passionate about fishing, golfing, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family. He loved playing cards and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, always cherishing the company of those closest to him.
Don will be deeply missed by Cathie McKenzie, Michael Martin, Mark Motes, Connie Caldwell, and many others whose lives he touched. He will be reunited in heaven with his first love and wife of 49 years, Gladys (Pat) McKenzie, and his son Glen McKenzie.
A memorial service will be held with immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Vitas Hospice Healthcare or the American Heart Association in Don’s memory.
I love you Dad!
