Obituary

 Donald A. Young, 71, of Dunnellon, FL passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023

He was born in Pontiac, MI to Dayton and Barb Young and served in the US Navy from 1971 – 1977.  Donald was a Perfusionist, and graduated in 1984 from Texas Heart Institute, University of Texas, with his BS degree in Perfusion Technology.  Was a perfusionist for 35 years. He was on the National Deans List 1983 and received CCP Emeritus.

Donald enjoyed radio control airplanes, scuba diving, camping, skiing, and played the organ. He was “PaPa” to his three grandchildren, a simple man, but able to answer any question.

Survivors include 45 years of marriage to Vicki L. Young, 2 sons Mark Allen Young and wife Maria and James Dayton Young and wife Christina, grandchildren Alesha Young, Patrick Young and Thomas Young, siblings  his sister  Marjorie Hall and husband Bill, and his brother Robert Young and wife Kimberly.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date. Final Resting Place will be Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell Florida

    What great times we all had - cruising, Hawaii, camping, Gatlinburg, or just hanging out playing cards. You were always so easy-going, very kind, and always a warm smile. I will miss you dearly. You will live in my heart always.
