Ellen was a longtime neighbor who lived across the street from me in The Villages. She was a "member" of our little part of our world here on Evelynton Loop. Early on she participated in hosting dinners at her home . She was a very gracious Lady and enjoyed being part of our little world. She would always welcome our invitations to sit in as a sub for our card group until she became a permanent member. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Ellen represented a life well lived! I’m so grateful for all the conversations we’ve had over the years when she would come to visit her daughter Carol across the street from my house. She lit up anytime her grandkids were mentioned. I agree she was a total force of nature. She will be missed and cherished forever.

I met Ellen during coffee hour after church in Park City when she was visiting her daughter. We chatted for perhaps 45 minutes, finding many things in common, including growing up in New England. As we were about to go our separate ways, she mentioned she was working on a quilt. I'm a quilter, too, so we arranged for her to come and visit me to see my quilts and what I was working on. I visited her, as well, and whenever she was in town, she became part of the two stitching groups I was in. I have been missing her since we couldn't get together, but I always enjoyed knowing she was in the world and getting to see photos on Facebook. I will miss that.
Ellen was one of the kindest people I have ever known. We need more people like her!
