Obituary

Harold F Jablenski Jr, 68, a resident of Douglas T Jacobson State Veterans’ Nursing Home, passed away on September 27, 2025, under the loving care of Tide Well Hospice, Charlotte County.

Harold served the US Navy as a parachute rigger from 1978 until 1980, when honorably discharged to care for his widowed father, Harold Sr.

Harold worked as a marina forklift operator for over 30 years and was last employed with Gulf Coast Marina in El Jo Bean, Florida. He had a love for marina work but unfortunately had to cease working in 2012.

He is survived by his niece and caregiver, Beth Degnan, Florida, Nephew Brian Morley (Laureen, Stephen), South Carolina, great nephew Shane Morley, Bangor, Maine, Niece Diana Morley Sanches, (great niece Tiffany and great-great niece Aubrey), North Carolina, great nephew Dustin Waters, Florida, great nephews Anthony Morley II, Joshua Morley and niece-in-law, Michele Morley, Florida. Also survived by his Aunt Delores Dennis (nee Ladendorf), Cape Coral, Florida and sister, Janis Jablenski, Wisconsin.

He is predeceased by his parents, Harold Sr. and Marie Jablenski (nee Ladendorf), nephew Anthony Morley I, sister, Kathleen Morley Hancock (nee Jablenski) and brother-in-law, Jerry Morley.

He is also predeceased by his loving felines, Tabatha (16) and Matrix (19).

He loved cats and had the joy of receiving monthly visits with the cats owned by his niece Beth Degnan, most recently Monee (15) and Little One (6).

Interment will be at Venice Memorial Gardens, Venice Florida. Funeral arrangements are by Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home. There will be a celebration of life to be held later.
