Obituary
James Lee Robertson was born in Rocky Mount, VA on April 22, 1957, and passed peacefully on June 9th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Lee is survived by his wife Debbie and son Trevor, and siblings: Darren Robertson, Jessecia Murphy, Debra Smith and their respective spouses and children. Lee was predeceased by his parents, Jesse and Nancy Robertson and brother Dwayne Robertson.
Being someone who loved life to the fullest, Lee enjoyed fishing, golf, hunting, and numerous outdoor activities. Lee also loved to cook, socialize and was a master on his big Green Egg. Most of all, he truly loved his wife and son. Lee was a family man to his core and was dedicated to Debbie and Trevor through their 44 years of a happy marriage.
He was the epitome of the best husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. His infectious smile and full-bellied laugh made anybody feel at home and loved. As the Director of Licensed Training at Einstein’s Bagels, Lee was a natural born leader. He enjoyed teaching others to be successful and was beautifully open, accepting, and kind to all.
To fulfill Lee’s wish of spreading his ashes in his favorite trout stream surrounded by his loving family, there will be a family service in Colorado the week of July 7th.

Joe and I are heart broken. There are so many things we will miss about Lee. Just leaving our house and hearing his music coming from the garage, pickleball, golfing, wine walks, cornhole, drinks at the Bar and Chill, Chair volleyball, and dinners out with so much laughter. Bama Breeze will never be the same. Rest in peace our dear friend. We will always be here for your girl Debbie.
Forever in our hearts! Love you friend! ❤️
We are completely heart broken! So many good times with you and Debbie. ❤️
