Obituary
John Richard Yohman, affectionately known as Rich or Yo, passed away on July 25, 2024. Born in Connellsville, PA, on June 3, 1953, he was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, cherished by all who knew him.
John was most proud of his children and grandchildren, always taking joy in their achievements and lives. He had a passion for NASCAR, often watching or attending races with his family and cheering on the Boston Celtics. John enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, such as drinking his MGDs and good bourbon, and participating in pool and dart leagues. His straightforward nature and desire to be first in every situation were well-known traits that added to his unique personality. No matter right or wrong, he was always right.
Survived by his daughter Kelley Grant (Mike); son John Richard Yohman II (Liz/Erica); and grandchildren Trey Grant (Brooke), Azalia Yohman (Kevin), Karley Grant (Thomas), Stella Thomas, and Novaley Yohman. Brother Douglas Yohman (Lori),niece Jessika Caringola (Dominic); nephew John Yohman (Amanda); great-niece, Presleigh Caringola; Cousin, Chuck Abell (Karen); and Best friend/Ex -Wife Cheryl “Cher” McLeod (Roger). Additionally, John leaves behind several cousins and a loving extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Madelyn Yohman.
John’s life will be remembered for his love of family, sports, and his unwavering conviction. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
