Obituary

In Loving Memory of Jon Kneifl who passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with illness, Jon has left behind a legacy of integrity, drive, and love. Jon had a deep passion for finance, investing, and real estate — fields in which he not only excelled but also found true purpose and fulfillment.

He was known for his sharp mind, entrepreneurial spirit, and unwavering dedication to the things he loved most. Above all, Jon cherished his wife, Radana, who was the center of his world. Their bond was one of deep affection and shared dreams, a partnership built on love and mutual respect.

A proud and loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Jon never missed a game. Whether celebrating a win or analyzing a loss, cheering for his team brought him real joy and connected him to something larger than himself.

Jon had a sweet tooth, and few things made him smile more than a big scoop of ice cream, often shared with his beloved Chihuahuas. He spoiled them endlessly, and they returned the favor with their unconditional love.

Jon is survived by Radana (Kotolanova) his loving wife of 20 years, his devoted mother, Linda Kneifl, Lexington, NE. He was predeceased by his father, Jack Kneifl and his brother, Christopher Kneifl.

A celebration of Jon’s life will be held this summer, where family and friends will gather to honor his legacy, share memories, and celebrate the remarkable person he was. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jon’s memory to Spirit of Joy church and Cornerstone Hospice: https://soj.churchcenter.com/giving or www.cornerstonehospice.org.

So very sorry for the loss of Jon. I remember walking by his desk at The Washington Times and he was selling classified ads with the most tenacious energy I have ever seen—his “5 Time Champs” poster for his beloved Cowboys above his desk. He leveraged that work ethic he learned growing up in Nebraska. So sorry to you Radana and all of your family. A huge loss to the world that this positive and hardworking man is no longer with us. May Jon rest in peace.

I'm very sorry for your family's loss. Jon was always a positive person. Since my early days petting over his shoulder at work (decades ago) to interactions on social media when we went in separate directions, I've always known him as a caring, thoughtful person who deeply adored his wife from the moment he met her. I truly hoped he would win this battle, and am heartbroken for the world that he didn't. May you always remember the good times you've shared together.

My Birthday Buddy may you finally be free of the pain you’ve endured! It was my pleasure to have lived next to you growing up and sitting for you and Christopher. Very ironic as just yesterday I looked at a picture of you and my dad looking at a big Bass he brought home when you were about 5 or 6 years old! RIP sweet friend!
