Obituary
Judy McCray Curkendall, 77, Williamstown, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Northport Florida. Judy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an excellent cook who enjoyed new recipes and was an avid gardener who loved flowers, just like her mother. Judy also loved her dog, Marley and Griffin, with whom she had a very special bond. She worked as a long-distance Operator for 10 years when starting her family, and with Comfort Keepers later in life. Additionally, she cared for her mother and her home for many years. She was a natural caregiver and helped many people throughout her life as a faithful Christian who loved and accepted everyone. She attended 36th St. school of Christ where she taught Bible school for many years. She is survived by her husband, Gary of 54 years, daughter, Julian and Eddie Nichols of Northport, FL, son, Brent of Columbus, Ohio, grandson’s Matthew and Ashley Shepherd of Charleston, West Virginia, and Carter Nichols of Lehigh Acres, Florida, and two great granddaughters Aubrey and autumn both of Charleston West Virginia. She is also survived by her brother and sister Waynuel McCray and Mary Jane Flowers, brothers in law Max Curkendall and Nick Nemer, sister in law Jean Curkendall, their families, and many other nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Fritza and Enda McCray, brother and sisters Arland, Marilyn Hannun, Oletta Nemer, Delores Brown and Linda Kellar, and nephews Dough Chichester and Ryan Keller. Per her wishes, Judy will be cremated with no services. Please consider a donation to the Autism Society of America.
