Obituary

Kenny Dale Allen 72, of The Villages, Florida passed away July 1, 2025 after a brief illness.  He was born July 8, 1952 in Mariemont, Ohio to the late Alfred Paul Allen and Phyllis Audrey Allen (nee Long). Survived by devoted fiancé Anita Paris Paul. He was preceded in death by wife Jenee Allen.

Kenny is survived by two daughters; Alyssa Nicole Allen (Diana) of Las Vegas Nevada and Emily Faith (Allen) Donohue (Dr. Kevin Thomas) of Lexington, Kentucky, and their mother, his former wife, Mary Kay Hansen of Blue Ash, OH.   Also survived by his Grandchildren: Finn Thomas, Caroline Grace, MilesJai, and Leo Zeus.

Also survived by three brothers: Timothy Wayne (Anne) of Montgomery, OH, Chris Robert (Robin) Bolton Valley, VT and Steven Howard (Vanessa) of Florence, KY., and his Aunt Vernadene Tucker of Blanchester, OH.  Kenny had many loving cousins, nieces and nephews and is survived by numerous special friends.

Kenny attended Blanchester, Ohio schools and graduated from Blanchester in the class of 1971. From there he launched a lifelong career in the graphic arts industry at the Curless Printing Company eventually retiring many years later as co-owner and president of Laser Systems in St. Bernard, OH. He made many dear friends from business and from retirement life in Nevada, Virginia and Florida.

He stayed in close contact with his school day friends and rarely missed the opportunity to join class reunions and get togethers.  As his dad Alfred once remarked to one of Kenny’s brothers, “You know how everyone is joyful and makes an effort to treat people extra nice at Christmas time? Well Kenny treats people that way everyday”.

Kenny will be missed by all those special people in his sphere. May he rest in eternal peace.

He was a longtime member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, as was his father and grandfather before him.

Private graveside service will be held at a later date with burial at the Blanchester IOOF Cemetery, Blanchester.  A date for A Celebration of Kenny’s Life in Blanchester will be announced at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. I have known Kenny since his early days at Laser Systems and we laughed and cried over many trials and tribulations of our lives. We represented Kenny as his CPA and financial advisor since 1985 but Kenny and I became close friends and I learned to love him as the wonderful man he will always be remembered by. Rest in Peace my friend.

Kenny and I fell in love over many hours of phone calls when neither of us was thinking about a serious relationship. We weren’t our first loves or replacements for our previous loves; instead, we found a healing, loving relationship filled with laughter and typical ups and downs and adventures. We felt blessed to have each other and felt God and our heavenly angels brought us together. I will always be blessed to have Kenny and everyone he brought into my life. His smile and his voice are etched on my heart and I know he’s at peace and pain free surrounded by his loved ones. Anita

I miss you, dad. It was an honor to be at your side during your last weeks here. I wish you could have enjoyed retirement in The Villages longer with Anita. I loved your house and your golf cart. The Mallory Country Club was so perfect for you. I wish we could have gone there together. Love you eternally, dad.
