Lillian (Nan) Ann Heroux
February 25, 1941 – August 23, 2025
Lillian (Nan) Ann Heroux, 84, of Cocoa, FL died early Saturday morning (August 23, 2025 at 2:55AM) at St Francis Inpatient Hospice with her family at her side.
The daughter of Elma M. (Snowden) and William T. McPherson, she was born February 25, 1941 in Norfolk, VA; the second of four children.
She was a graduate of Norview High School. Lillian began her nursing career as a candy striper at DePaul Hospital in Norfolk, VA, at the age of 13. She continued on to obtain her LPN national certification. She married her husband, Herbert A. Heroux, on February 14, 1964 while continuing to work as a nurse. During her marriage with Herbert, she moved around as a navy spouse to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; Rising Sun, MD; Portsmouth, VA; and Fairfax, VA to name a few places. Lillian lived in Panama City, FL 1983-1996, enjoying shelling, fishing, and photography. Then in 1996 moved to Titusville, FL while having a summer business, McPhee Marina, in Dolores, CO. They later moved to Cocoa, FL where she lived until her death.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jim and David McPherson and her husband, Herbert Heroux. She is survived by her sister, Joyce McPherson Shock. She is survived by her sons Dwaine and Bryan (& Torry) Heroux, and her 2 grandchildren, Teresa Heroux-Francis and Travis Heroux. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her services are being managed by Baldwin Brothers Funeral Services 2400 S Washington Ave., Titusville, FL 32780. Services will be on Thursday, September 4, 2025, viewing 10:00-11:00, service 11:00-12:00, Internment will be at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery 5525 US Hwy 1 N. Mims Florida 32754 on September 4, 2025 at 1:00 p,m. (family members only due to Cemetery Regulations).
