Obituary
Lillian Thorsen, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and faithful servant of the Lord, went home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ. She leaves behind a legacy of deep faith, gentle kindness, and unwavering love that will continue to shine in the lives of all who knew her.
Born in Michigan, Lillian met the love of her life there at 16 years of age. They married and moved to New York, where together they built a beautiful life and shared 50 years of marriage, raising their family and creating a warm, loving home.
Lillian loved Jesus with all her heart. Her faith guided every step she took, and she lived as a true example of grace, prayerfulness, and compassion. She shared God’s love freely offering encouragement, warmth, and a listening ear to anyone who needed it.
She was the cherished mother of three daughters: Catherine Loewenthal, Nancy Nazzaruolo (wife of John Nazzaruolo), and Ginny Thorsen (Gail), who were the pride and joy of her life.
Lillian was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren: Tabitha Tempio, Samantha Tempio, Matthew Tempio, Coleen Lavio (Tyson), Cheryl Meyers (Bobby), John Nazzaruolo (Denise), and Laura Otterman (Craig).
She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, including Avery, Carter, Tyler, Rosalee, and Maggie who brought her tremendous happiness and filled her heart with joy.
Lillian was blessed to have the most loving sister, Adele, and beloved nieces Jane and Jennifer, who cared for her during the final years of her life with such kindness and compassion.
Lillian will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her warm smile, and the peace that followed her wherever she went. She was also a real firecracker, full of energy, humor, and zest for life. Her family takes great comfort in knowing she is now in the presence of the Lord she adored and reunited with her beloved husband and loved ones who went before her.
