Obituary
Fort Myers, Fla. – Mary Ann Geib, 91, passed away in her sleep Friday night, November 22, 2024 in her room at Larson Health Center at Shell Point. She was born in Brandywine Township, Hancock County, IN to Clayton and Madge (Lacy) Bass.
Loving wife, mother, and aunt, she is survived by her three children, Pamela Welton of Mulberry, IN, Marshall Geib of London, OH, and Richard Geib II of Bradenton, FL; two of her grandchildren, Eleanor Geib of Blacklick, OH and Richard James Geib of Marietta, OH; her nephews, Tracy (Ann) Baker of Irons, MI, and David (Marge) Baker of Tucson, AZ; and grandnephews and grandnieces and great-grandnephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Richard Geib, her parents, her grandson Clayton Geib, her son-in-law, Bruce Welton, her daughter-in law, Martha Geib, her sister-in-law, Jean Baker, brother-in-law, Richard Baker, and nephew, Grant Baker.
She graduated from Mulberry High School Class of 1950 and earned a degree in pharmacy from Purdue University in 1955. She worked as a hospital pharmacist in South Bend, IN, Patterson, NJ, and Long Beach, NY.
An active member of churches in South Bend, IN, Ridgewood, NJ, and Garden City, NY, she was last a member of the former Chapel by the Sea Presbyterian Church, Fort Myers Beach.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the Mulberry Public Library, P.O. Box 489, Mulberry, IN 46058.
A family gathering to commemorate her life will take place at a future date in Clinton County, IN
