Obituary
Mavis A. Tuite, 99 of Cape Coral Florida passed away April 20, 2025 at Cape Coral Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Mavis was born July 10, 1925 in Rockford, IL daughter of Oscar and Hilma (Carlson) Johnson. She graduated from East High school.
She married John E. Tuite on June 17, 1950 in St. Bridget Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife and enjoyed traveling, reading, crossword puzzles and exercise.
Mavis moved to Cape Coral 1/17/20 with her daughter.
She was preceded in death by son Gary in 1992, husband John in 2003, daughter, Jodi in 2007 and sisters, Marylyn (Walt) Stutzel, Beatrice (Chuck) Abbott, Lucille (Berl) Robison, Brother-in-law Gerald F. Tuite, and nephew Michael Tuite.
Mavis is survived by daughter Kelley Wells, FL, son, John C (Linda) Tuite of South Carolina grandsons Derek Wells, Rockford, IL, Dylan Wells, Machesney Park, IL, Brandon Faulkner, of FL, Joshua (April) Tuite AR, granddaughter Brit Faulkner of NY and son in law Steve Faulkner, of NY. Great grandson Oren, of AR, Sister-In-Law, Francine Tuite, Naples, FL and several nieces and nephews.
Mavis’ family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Heather and Liz from Cape Coral Rehabilitation Center.
There will be a private gathering in Rockford IL at a later date.
