Obituary
Michael H. Lockhart, of Davy, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024, at Advent Health Waterman, surrounded by his loving wife, children, and grandchildren.
Born in Hemphill, West Virginia, on November 24, 1939, Michael was a devoted husband to his wife, Priscilla, for 63 years. He proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Robert H. McCard and later retired from Ford Motor Company after a successful career.
Michael was a man of many passions. He loved woodworking, playing pool, bicycling, and playing golf, where he was thrilled to achieve a hole-in-one. He also enjoyed playing the guitar, which brought joy to him and his family.
He will be remembered for his kindness, determination, and love for his family. Michael cherished time with his loved ones and found immense pride in their accomplishments.
Michael is survived by his wife, Priscilla; his son, Mike Jr.; daughters, Annette (Jack) Hunter and Rhonda (Michael) Thompson; granddaughters, Ashley, Brittany, and Caitlin (Dominic); and his great-grandchildren, Lucy, June, Hudson, and Luca. He is also survived by his brothers, Jim and Jerry; sister, Marijane (James) Wingate and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 1:00–3:00 pm at the Clubhouse Social Hall in Royal Harbor, Tavares.
Michael’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
