Mike was born in South Amboy, New Jersey until he retired from the steel mill, lived in Virginia, spent 20 years in Rolling Greens, Florida before moving back to Virginia, and finally settling in South Carolina.
Mike proudly served in the United States Army. Mike had a great work ethic. He was known at the steel mill as “Iron Mike.” He loved spending time with his family at the Water Works, Frog Hollow, the Shore, and in the Poconos. Memories of hats and pokernopoly. He loved to sit on a porch. Mike was known to find a friend wherever he travelled, and he never met a stranger. Mike was also known to be a prolific storyteller of tall tales, believable or not. We will miss his smile and his infectious attitude, never giving up and taking life day by day. We can only hope to live a life like his, a life well spent.
