Obituary

Philip Vincent Pascarelli, 88 years old, of North Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Everett, Massachusetts, fell asleep in death confident that Jehovah will remember him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Florence (Cummings) Pascarelli; former spouse, Barbara (Artz) Pascarelli; stepson, Eric Artz; stepdaughter, Belinda (Artz) Daniels; sisters, Roseanne (aka Lovey) Brawley and Florence Celata.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of twenty years, Irene (Michaud-Burrows) Pascarelli; daughter, Christine (Jeff) Pascarelli Rosen; son, Philip (Laurie) Pascarelli; step-sons, Blake (Lynn) Artz and James (Suneen) Burrows; sisters, Ann Burgess, Claire Masterson, Mary Poirier, and Jean (Jimmy) Bossi; grandchildren, Lois Artz, Rachel Artz, Brooke (Angel) Artz Mulkay, and Christopher Daniels; great-grandchild, Angel Daniel Mulkay, Jr; and many nieces and nephews.

Phil’s sisters lovingly referred to their brother as “Sonny”.  As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Phil loved sharing his faith with others.  He retired as a dental lab technician and sang with a barbershop quartet.  He will be remembered for his love of music, singing, gardening, and playing cards.  He was also known for his sausage bread, which everyone enjoyed at gatherings.  Most of all Phil loved to joke and make people laugh.  His quick wit and humor will be missed.

Donations can be made in Phil’s memory to Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway East, Cape Coral FL 33909.

  1. BLAKE ARTZ says:

Phil, aka Dad was a good man who came into my life when I needed a man, father, teacher, provider the most. I first met him in 1968 when I was 10 yrs old and he became all those things and more. He married my mother and they had 2 children together who my youngest sister and brother who I love dearly. He taught me many lessons and they came true with lifes' experiences. Today I am sad that he is gone on, yet he and all my loved ones remain in my heart conscience. The true measure of a man is the love he had and the love he gave, and Dad 55yrs left me full yet I YEARN FOR MORE! Everyrtime I am in my garden or eating Italian food my thoughts gravitate to you. So as you said," Don't tell me show me" I know you watch from above as I try to emulate the best qualities you stressed. I didn't even touch the Dental Lab connections or any others for they are to many to share, they're ours. I have to thank Irene for taking care of you these last years which was the true measure of , in sickness and in health, so God Bless, till we meet again Dad.
