Obituary

Priscilla Ann Neeley-Johnson of Eustis, FL, age 68, died peacefully on March 15, 2025, at Cornerstone Hospice Palliative Care.  She was born October 22, 1956, to Dr. Shirely Kenneth Neeley and Phyllis B. Neeley of Veedersburg, IN.  She married Taylor Johnson, Sept. 22, 1985.  She is preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Robert Neeley, father, Dr. Shirley Kenneth Neeley and mother, Phyllis Minard Neeley.  Priscilla graduated in 1975 from Fountain Central High School in Veedersburg, IN and 1979 from Simmons College receiving a BS in Retail Management.  She was a longstanding member of the United Methodist Church, International Order of Rainbow Girls, and Order of Eastern Star. Priscilla is survived by her loving husband, Taylor Johnson, and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces.  A Celebration of Life Memorial will be April 12, 2025 in Leesburg, Florida.

Priscilla’s personality and dry witty humor were always evident. She viewed the world with a great deal of curiosity – always learning and seeking. She had an innate sense of style which was shown by her love of fine clothing and her home. Every holiday was showcased with love and creativity.

Have you ever been so fascinated by a person for their unique ability to maintain such grace, wit, and effortless love for humanity, all at once? I have, and was blessed from birth to have such a person in my life. She is Pricilla. She is the one person who took me under her wing and guided me through life's twists and turns with wholesome values and a virtuous spirit. Pricilla taught me how to love, with all my heart, and show compassion for not only people, but Mother Earth, and all her glories. I became the Daughter she never had, and she became the Mother I needed. She and I had such a strong, deep bond and, for that, I am truly grateful and beyond blessed to have so many wonderful memories I can take with me wherever I go. Priscilla, you were there for my first breath, and I was here for your last, but now you will breath life into all those you touched on Earth, in your own, special Priscilly way. It will always be my greatest honor to be your Goddaughter, and you my Godmother. Thank you for touching the lives of my husband, John and daughter, Holly. You are a Force of Nature always and forever ♾️ Dance with the Angels and sing us a song, for we are your biggest fans. I love you, with all my heart. ♥️ Lauren

Priscilla shared our experience of living in the woods in Maine on a pond. She made the pond a place of joy and laughter. She was a "wise guy" with the grace of a lady. We looked forward each year to her and Taylor's arrival on the pond as it marked the beginning of summer and the warm weather. We always were sad in the fall to see them go. We are sad now that she is gone but so so grateful for her teaching us and reminding us about the beauty and fragile essance of life. This spring will be more quiet and more sad but also more appreciated.

Thank you Priscilla, love Dick and Kathy.

I first met Priscilla back in 1980, the same year I met Taylor. Since then, we have become very very close friends. In those 45 years, I never ever saw even 1 second of meaness from Priscilla, always caring for others, always trying to help, always smiling. I videoed their wedding in 1985, and they both were best man and maid of honor in mine in 1998. Proscilla and I had the same birthdate, no wonder we got along together so well. Priscilla will be greatly missed.

THERE IS ANOTHER ANGEL IN HEAVEN, HER NAME IS PRISCILLA, AND SHE WILL BE IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER!

I still remember the first day I met you! From the moment I was little, I felt an instant connection with you, and you quickly became one of my favorite aunts. I’ll always cherish our time together.being your co-pilot on trips around town, getting your advice on flowers for your home, and heading back to play Wii sports(best memory ever) Those moments will truly be missed. Your spirit will forever live on in our hearts and in our family, Priscilla.
    Your nephew- Conner

Very sad to hear of Priscilla’s passing. I have lots of memories with her from first grade until we graduated. I remember in grade school, we had a sleepover at my house one summer, and slept on the floor in my living room with a fan on us, because we had no AC. Pool parties at her house. I had tuna salad for the first time at one of her birthday parties. Funny what we remember. She was a great person.

The world has lost a wonderful woman. Always putting others ahead of herself. Priscilla was a modest leader who influenced so many. She was smart, beautiful, generous and empathetic. Priscilla was a force multiplier who lives inside us. Priscilla was my best friend and had a great sense of humor.
