Obituary

Robert “Bob” Colletti passed away Tuesday January 16, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with Covid Pneumonia complications.

He will be remembered as one of the golfing Hazards, the head of the “MOB” Saturday couples golf, an Adopt-a-Hole Captain, US Army Veteran, father, Uncle Bob-o, husband and a really good man.

A former St Agnes Cathedral High School graduate, Bob was a star pitcher with the Karlsruhe Spartans for the US Army in Germany.  Recently he served on the Herons Glen events committee for several years and was the creator of many of the “ghouls” for the Halloween party. After learning the game, Bob handmade over 450 Marble Boards for neighbors and friends and we played regularly.  Bob loved the water and was an accomplished fisherman and sailor, sailing our own 27′ Ericson, COTI on Long Island Sound, navigating through the Canal du Midi in France and captaining several excursions in the British Virgin Islands with his wife, Kathleen and crewmates.

He is pre-deceased by his two sons, Robert Colletti, II and Steven Colletti.

We honor a Life that was lived to the full,

We honor a Spirit now Free,

You’ll long be remembered, whenever we say:

” We wish you fair winds and a following Sea!”

Memorial plans for “Captain Bob” will be announced in the future.
