Obituary

Salvatore Giuseppe Basile, 91, of Englewood, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. Salvatore was born in Concord, Massachusetts, on March 10, 1933, to the late Giuseppe Basile and Maria Berlinghieri.

In addition to his parents, Salvatore is preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Basile; sisters, Martha Maloney and Nicolina Rokowski, and the mother of his children, Judith A. Basile.

Salvatore is survived by his wife, Anita R. Uhlich of 36 years; children, Jennifer Basile of Nashua, NH, Mark Basile and wife Grace of Medford, Massachusetts, and Karl Basile of Boston Massachusetts; grandchildren, Addie Roberts, Natalie Rubin, and Hillary Basile; 4 great grandchildren and several other family and friends.

Salvatore proudly served his country in the United States Marines for three years. He became an Engineer for many years working for High Tech until retirement at the age of 70. Salvatore and Anita moved to Englewood, Florida, in January of 2021 from New Hampshire. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and traveling around the world, seeing many beautiful places with Anita and making so many memories. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed but precious memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Interment will be Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 11 am, at Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church located at 171 Zion Hill Rd. in Salem, NH.

Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice of Englewood, Fla., or TCLC Food Pantry in Salem, NH, or to a charity of your choice.
