Obituary
Salvatore “Sal” P. Loffredo passed peacefully at his home on October 4th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.Sal was born on July 27,1937 in Paterson, New Jersey.
Salvatore was the beloved husband of Eileen O’Brien Loffredo for 35 years, devoted father to his daughter Darlene Baldino and her husband Wayne, his son Gary Loffredo, stepfather to Donna Olthaus and Christopher O’Neill. As a loving grandfather to Matthew and Paul Loffredo, Domenic Baldino and his wife Joely, Troy, Ryan, and Tyler Olthaus.
After he completed high school in New Jersey in 1956, Sal enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. In the USMC, he learned the principles of honor, courage, and commitment where he served his country to 1962. Furthering his education, he entered the workforce, ending his career as a District Manager for Marriot Corporation, where he worked in the Engineering Department in various hospitals throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York.
Sal was an avid saltwater fisherman, belonging to the Surf River Shark Anglers in New Jersey. He and his wife Eileen spent many years enjoying their boat “Miss Eileen” before moving to The Villages in 2017. Sal also enjoyed golfing and playing cards with his many friends in The Villages, where he was known and loved for his dry sense of humor.
Memorial contributions in Sal’s honor should be made to the Disabled Veteran’s Association.
