Vincent Jerome “Jerry” Wieman, born on November 5, 1934, in Baltimore, Maryland, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 25, 2024. A proud graduate of Loyola University in Baltimore, he spent several years in the United States Army and later served as an executive in the supply chain and transportation industry. Jerry raised his young family of five children in several locations including Connecticut, Chicago, Illinois, and upstate New York, eventually settling in Bowie, Maryland. Alongside his professional pursuits, Jerry’s passion for woodworking and creating distinguished him from all others. A master carpenter, he found immense joy in transforming scraps of wood into beautiful and timeless pieces of furniture and keepsakes, a testament to his creative spirit and skilled hands. After his retirement, Jerry and his beloved wife Ann relocated to Sarasota, Florida, where they cherished the best years of their life together, embracing the warmth, togetherness, and tranquility of their coastal community.
Jerry is predeceased by his youngest son Michael George, his cherished daughter Mary Kathleen, and his lifelong companion and wife, Ann Marie, with whom he shared sixty-two wonderful years of marriage. His legacy of love and craftsmanship lives on through his surviving family: his sisters Elizabeth and Kathleen, his daughters Pat and Maureen, and his son Steve. Jerry’s memory will also be cherished by his eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will remember him as a source of wisdom, warmth, and humor. He will be interred alongside his wife Ann at the Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Florida
