I have an endless supply of memories and stories I could share. I’m thankful I got his sense of humor, for every sermon he preached, every lecture he gave me, every lesson he taught me, for his unstoppable love for me even when I pushed the limits. I’m honored to be his daughter, to have had him as a mentor, for helping my husband become the man he his, for teaching me how to be the best mother and woman of God that I could be. I’m even thankful to have his big nose, mouth and blockhead . He was the perfect example of unconditional love. I watched dad and Tammie handle every obstacle the dark tried to throw their way for 31 years like bosses. That’s true love. Because of my dad I knew what to look for in my spouse. He taught me to continue to fight through the hard times because it wouldn’t always be roses like we so often expect. Contrary to what some may believe my dad was one of the kindest, most loving and sentimental men on this earth. He loved, cared and hurt just like the rest of us. More than most will know. Above all else, my dad was a true man of God. A HUMBLE MAN! Never wanted credit for anything although he earned and deserved it. “All glory belongs to God” would always be his response. Dad, I’m happy you’re free, no longer suffering and I have no doubt that you’re already back to work. I can’t begin to imagine what you and Jesus are building right now but I can guarantee it’s nothing less than perfect. I will miss you forever and always. I can’t wait to see you again and until that day comes please know that I love you
