Obituary
William J. Forand, affectionately known as “Bill,” passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, in Daytona Beach, Florida, with his beloved husband and caregiver of 39 years, Edward Campopiano Forand, by his side. He was 71 years old.
Born on May 31, 1954, in Central Falls, Rhode Island, Bill led a life marked by hard work, dedication, and love. His decades-long career with Angelica Textile Services took him across the country and along the Eastern Seaboard. His professional journey was both fulfilling and rewarding, culminating in his retirement in 2016 as the Regional Vice President for the Eastern Division.
Bill had a wide range of interests that brought him joy and relaxation. He loved streaming documentaries and reality shows, reading, and tending to his plants. A true animal lover, he adored his pets, Dylan and Bailey, who brought him endless comfort and companionship.
Known for his dry wit and quick sense of humor, Bill’s unique personality could be misunderstood by some, but to those who knew him well, he was fiercely loyal and often the cause of heartfelt laughter. His generosity, integrity, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, William and Joan Forand, and his mother-in-law, Marilyn R. Campopiano.
He is survived by his devoted husband, Edward; his siblings and their spouses, Kathy and Rene Doyon, Richard and Beverly Forand, Michael and Michelle Forand, and Roger and Sandra Forand; and his in-laws, Henry and Donna, Dale and Esther, June Cook, Carol and Paul, and Dawn and Steve. He also leaves behind 20 nieces and nephews, and 17 grandnieces and nephews, all of whom will cherish his memory.
Bill was a good man. He was giving, caring, and deeply principled. He will be missed dearly by his husband, family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
