Obituary
William Anthony Summa passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday December 25th, 2024. He was the loving husband of his late wife Judy Ann Summa. Bill was born on May 11, 1944, in Waterbury CT, to the late Joseph Summa and Rose (Brunelli) Summa and was the youngest of 7 siblings all of which have predeceased him. He was a Waterbury CT resident for most of his life until moving to Edgewater Florida in 2015.
Bill was a truck driver for many years and was known by his CD handle “halfbreed”. He retired from Kimberly Clark in 1995. One of his favorite activities was going for rides on the motorcycle with friends and stopping for a bite to eat along the way. Bill was lucky enough to have seen most of the countryside between truck driving and riding. He was never late for anything; in fact, he was at least 20 minutes early. Bill had a stubborn side (like most men do), but his smile lit up the room. He was proud of his Italian heritage. He carried on the tradition of making homemade meatballs and sauce with the family. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. Bill wanted to see his loved ones succeed, always willing to help when he could.
Bill is survived by his daughter Stacy Summa; 3 sons William Jr., Butch, and Anthony Summa, his daughter in law Deanna, 6 grandchildren Malissa, Ashley, Christina, Ryan, Nathan, and Callie-Ann; several great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews and an abundance of friends who loved him.
The family will be taking Bill on his “last ride” followed by a private celebration of life on January 25th, 2025. They will also be planning a celebration of life in CT; the date is to be determined. The family may be contacted for more information.
Bikers Prayer
May the sun rise in front of me, the rain fall behind me and the wind follow me. May the angels guard my travels for they know what is ahead of me. Keep me safe through rolling hills and swirling turns. Let the eagle guide me to the mountain tops. Let the moon’s light guide me through the night. Lord, thank you for letting me be a biker.
always enjoyed sitting and talking with him when we were out on rides!
He will he missed
